Privacy Policy and Consent on the Use of Personal Data at now-in.org

now-in.org respects your right to privacy and seeks to protect your privacy and your personal data. Personal data is collected and processed pursuant to current data protection laws. now-in.org shall never disclose or sell personal data to a third party unless legally permissible or authorized by you. As a registered user of now-in.org, you agree to the following:

Collection and Use of Data

1. now-in.org GmbH, Reuschenberger Mühle, Alte Garten 60-62, 51371 Leverkusen.Germany (hereinafter referred to as “now-in.org”) collects and uses your personal data required for establishing, developing or modifying the contractual relationship between you and now-in.org GmbH for the use of the online event database (inventory data). now-in.org also uses required data for both the use of the various functionalities of the online event database through you the user as well as for the calculation and settlement of any necessary fees (user data). This data comprises data provided by you during the now-in.org registration process (postal code, city, email, user name, password) as well as additional information added to your profile under “me@now-in” (name, gender, address, mobile/cellular phone number, website, your photo, your motto/slogan, hobbies and interests or your agent profile). now-in.org also collects and uses non-personal data, such as the Internet protocol (IP) addresses and other data regarding your online behavior; please see Sections 4 and 7 for a more detailed description of this data.
2. now-in.org publishes information submitted by you in its online event database; this information includes profile entries (username, location, photo, motto, hobbies and interests, website), event information as well as other content submitted by you such as locations, performers, comments, blog entries, reviews and ratings. Other users have access to the said data and can read this content at any time without your knowledge. Additional information provided by you, particularly your name, email address, postal address (with the exception of the city in which you live) and your cell phone number, will not be made publicly available by now-in.org. As long as you have not entered any additional information beyond that which is required for registration, other members will only be able to view your username, gender and location (city name). They will not have access to additional personal information gathered and saved through now-in.org.
3. now-in.org makes it possible for other users to find and view content provided by you as part of your profile, such as events, performers, locations, comments, blog entries, reviews, ratings and other data, through the use of a search function. Other users can comment on and rate all events, performers, locations, comments, blog entries, reviews, ratings and other data published by you on now-in.org. now-in.org also publishes these comments in its online event database. now-in.org shall ensure that user obligations are adhered to and met as per the General Terms and Conditions. Comments in violation of these terms will be deleted.
4. now-in.org uses IP addresses to statistically evaluate information (performers, locations, comments, blog entries, reviews and ratings) provided by you. These evaluations help now-in.org to manage, improve and optimize its online event database. The IP addresses used for this purpose are not linked to individually identifiable personal information.
5. now-in.org also uses your personal data in its communications with you regarding now-in.org services – as part of the event agent service or in order to tell you about new services and functions at now-in.org. Please notify us at any point if you no longer wish to receive this information.
6. now-in.org uses cookies to collect and manage your user data. The now-in.org server sends cookies, small data logs, to your browser to make it easier and more convenient to use the now-in.org services; cookies also help align the online event database with user requirements and wishes. Your computer saves these cookies in order to assure that you are permanently logged on to now-in.org, saving you the step of logging on each time you visit the site. You may set your computer to notify you of cookies; you may also set your computer to reject cookies.
7. now-in.org creates anonymous user profiles under pseudonyms to improve efficiency and the quality of the online event database. These profiles are also used for marketing purposes or for market research. In compliance with the law, now-in.org shall not link the user profiles it creates with the corresponding user’s data. You may object to the creation and use of such anonymous user profiles at any time.
8. Content provided by you (i.e., events, performers, locations, comments, blog entries, reviews and ratings) may be disclosed to and made available to third parties for the purpose of content syndication and partnerships. These contents are in no way linked to your unpublished personal data. If you would like us to refrain from sharing your content with third parties, please send an email to now-in.org using the contact form found on all now-in.org websites requesting us to do so.
9. now-in.org uses external service providers to oversee the technical maintenance of its online event database as well as to manage data processing and storage required for web hosting. Personal information is disclosed to our partners for these purposes only. now-in.org selects its partners and suppliers carefully with your security in mind. These companies must adhere to now-in.org’s data protection policy and are prohibited to disclose your personal data to any third party.

Information on Data / Modification and Deletion of Data

1. Data required for registration and the use of the various functions on now-in.org may not be modified; changes may be made, however, to any other additional information found in your profile at any time. Should your membership be cancelled, either by you or now-in.org, now-in.org may retain your email address and your username as well as publish all content (events, performers, locations, comments, blog entries, reviews, ratings and other data) posted by you up until the termination of membership.
2. If you would like to receive information regarding your personal data saved on now-in.org, if you no longer wish to receive certain information from now-in.org or if you would like to change personal information saved on now-in.org, just let us know by sending us an email using the contact form found on any of the now-in.org websites.
3. We shall give you due notice should changes be made to this Privacy Policy effecting the way your personal data is handled. We urge you to take every precaution to protect your personal information and recommend that your revisit this Privacy Policy from time to time.
